Science and Engineering, the 6th International Student Home Coming Day has been held successfully.
In the afternoon of Saturday, February 27th, the 6th international Student Home Coming Day was hosted by the College of Science and Engineering and the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology (GSNST). This year, 7 alumni of GSNST including 6 working at companies in Japan and 1 working at Kanazawa University came to the campus to share their experience with their juniors. To hear their voices, 14 current international students from China, Bangladesh, Cambodia, the Philippines, India, Iran and Tanzania, and 6 of university staff gathered.
In the first part, 4 alumni made speeches on their experience in job hunting and at the work. It was very impressive that most of them had been engaging in very responsible and international job in their 2nd to 3rd year and contributed to the companies’ business a lot.
In the second part, the aluminum and students had chance to talk face to face in Chinese or English in a booth of each field. Then we moved to the reception and continued talking over foods and drinks.
Thanks to our excellent alumni, this event could provide international students a valuable occasion to obtain good insight into finding job and working in Japan.
